Laura obtained her PhD at IFAE in 2022 and then moved to our neighbouring institute, Port d’Informació Científica (PIC). During her PhD, Laura developed machine learning techniques for the analysis of astronomical datasets. Her thesis focused on the development of data reduction tools to obtain photometric redshifts and galaxy photometry from astronomical images.

At PIC, Laura carried out a postdoctoral position where she further developed machine learning tools applied to large-scale scientific data processing. She has since transitioned to the private sector and is now working as a data scientist at Dribia
