Francesca obtained her PhD from UCL in 2023, under the supervision of Andreu Font-Ribera (IFAE) and Benjamin Joachimi (UCL). After working on novel statistical techniques to study gravitational waves (Gerardi et al. 2021), Francesca joined DESI and started to study the large scale correlations in the Lyman alpha forest, in particularly looking at statistical methods to compress the dataset without losing cosmological information. She is now a data scientist at Accenture.
