Talk by Laura Cabayol and Screening of the DESI documentary
On Monday 12th February 2024, Laura Cabayol gave an outreach public talk at the Centre Cívic Guinardó in Barcelona. The talk served as an introduction and presentation of the DESI documentary 5000 Eyes: Mapping the Universe with DESI.
On the follwoing days, from 13th to 15th February 2024, the documentary was screened at the Centre Cívic Guinardó.
5000 Eyes: Mapping the Universe with DESIis a new feature-length planetarium show created in collaboration with DESI‘s consortium of worldwide collaborators, a dedicated group of scientists and engineers who are creating the most complete map of our universe.
The 22-minute planetarium film provides a rare glimpse into modern cosmology by introducing viewers to DESI researchers and featuring original footage of the telescope and interviews with DESI scientists from all over the world.
